World's Best Eco-Hotel

Sustainability is important and I would think that most people in this generation would agree. It's difficult to attest that climate change isn't real when we feel the effects of it everyday, with Singapore getting hotter and hotter with each coming year. However, while I do think that people have to put in effort to be eco-friendly, I feel that people have the wrong idea about attempting to be sustainable. We all know that travelling and meat are huge contributors of CO2 emissions to the air but rooting for sustainability does not necessarily mean that you should cut out luxuries like meat or travelling from your life at one fell swoop, but it does mean that you can consider making informed decisions with regards to your meals and travelling. And that is why, you should visit the world's best eco-hotel, PARKROYAL on Pickering, the next time you travel to Singapore!

A great way to encourage sustainability in our society is to support businesses who share your vision and PARKROYAL on Pickering have shown that they are truly concerned about the climate issues we face. After all, they haven't been crowed Asia’s Leading Green Hotel for the fifth consecutive year at the World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony, held in Vietnam, for nothing! PARKROYAL on Pickering was birthed from a hotel-in-a-garden concept, that is both dreamy and beautiful.

The PARKROYAL on Pickering hotel stands out beautifully in the heart of Chinatown, Singapore, amongst a sea of grey or glass buildings, with an abundance of lush greenery adorning the eco-chic hotel. And as the forefront of sustainability initiatives for the hospitality sector in Singapore and across the world, it was almost as if the existence of this hotel and its beautiful architecture breathed life into what would be a lifeless neighbourhood. I never knew green and grey could look so great together. They've really done a great job with the design and architecture of the hotel. With greenery and concrete, I usually don't expect the two to co-exist in harmony because it's usually one or the other, but PARKROYAL on Pickering has shown us otherwise. In fact, I would've expected the building to resemble this instead, but since its opening on 2013, the hotel still looks as breathtaking as the day it was opened!

In early 2019, PARKROYAL on Pickering once again proved themselves as our ally and further contributed to environmental-friendly efforts by introducing a "No Meat, No Problem" plant-based a-la-carte menu to encourage meat lovers to try their healthy veggie alternatives. You needn't give up meat but the availability and existence of such menus would mean that you have the option to try out or go for plant based menus if you feel like it at any particular day. This is good news for vegans and vegetarians as well who have trouble finding delicious food that suit their dietary needs. Besides the food and the unique concept, PARKROYAL on Pickering is not slowing down, with aims to reclaim the title of ‘World’s Leading Green City Hotel’ after clinching it last year on 2018!

Overall, I think the world's best eco-hotel, PARKROYAL on Pickering deserves a visit. It has everything you'd ever need in a hotel and it may almost seem like any other hotel, except they have shown that they care just as much as we do, which can be rare in the business world.
