A Relaxing stay at a Heritage Hotel - Hotel Fort Canning

Hotel Fort Canning is a luxurious and award-winning conservation hotel tucked within 18 hectares of lush greenery in Fort Canning Park, Singapore's first Botanic Gardens, where many artefacts from Singapore's colourful history have survived on the hill and are visible to this day. The building was formerly a British administration site and today, it retains much of its colonial glamour and grace, the perfect backdrop to your selfies and an excellent subject for your photography experiments.

Strategically located mere minutes away from Singapore's retail, entertainment and cultural hubs such as Orchard Road, Clarke Quay and the Museums and Civic District, the convenience is unbeatable and the location is prime for travellers of all sorts of interests, be it food, shopping, history or the exciting nightlife.

The nearest MRT is the Fort Canning MRT station but despite how close it may look on the map, it is advisable to get a taxi up since it would be quite tiring to lug your luggage up the hill.

All 86 suites and guest rooms are designed to provide stunning views of the lush foliage of Fort Canning Park, or of Singapore’s vibrant city skyline. Guests staying with the Hotel are also entitled to complimentary unlimited alcoholic beverages and hors d’oeuvres during Aperitif Hour, which takes place every evening between 6:00pm and 7:00pm in the cosy Hotel lobby. This is the perfect opportunity to mingle with hotel guests, maybe make some new friends and exchange stories and recommendations on places to explore in Singapore.

Modern in-room amenities include a handy smartphone offering unlimited mobile data, complimentary local and international calls, as well as access to hotel services and a built-in city guide, a Samsung HD Smart TV offering a selection of local and international channels and interactive control panel to toggle air-conditioning, mood lightings and curtains.

The rooms also include monsoon rain showers and generously sized free-standing bath tubs, perfect to relax and wash off the stress and fatigue after an entire day of exploring and shopping.

There are 6 different types of rooms available at Hotel Fort Canning

Deluxe Room

A popular choice of accommodation for couples, featuring unique bathroom designs set against panoramic views of the city skyline. Decently sized at 30 – 35 sqm, this cozy room is just the perfect size for two.

Deluxe Garden Room

Deluxe Garden Rooms come complete with your own private garden and sun deck where you can take in the fresh air and warm sunlight. Get a little closer to nature and gaze over Fort Canning Park in all its glory. Read a book in the serene and tranquil atmosphere in the sun deck or spend some quality time with your travel mates.

Premium Room

Delight in outstanding park or city views from a glass-enclosed veranda, accentuated by furnishings from award-winning designer Poltrona Frau. Personally the veranda looks super cozy and a really nice place to admire beautiful Mother Nature, have a chat with your travel mates or plan your next travel plans in Singapore.

Premium Luxe Room

Premium Luxe Rooms offer expanded space for rest and relaxation. Thoughfully designed, these rooms exude luxury and comfort. With the same glass enclosed veranda, this room is however, better suited to people who value a larger walking space.

Relish added exclusivity and privacy in their modern Studio Suites, which come complete with separate living areas heightened by contemporary design touches.

Governor and Majapahit Suites

Featuring a whirlpool bath and generous spaces for work and play, the Majapahit and Governor’s Suites are ideal for the ultimate indulgence in the heart of nature.

Facilities in Hotels always excite me and with Fort Canning Hotel, their range of facilities didn't leave me disappointed. While they had a 24-hour front desk, currency services, dry cleaning services and many other facilities which were really awesome, honourable mentions includes their three (yes, you saw this right) swimming pools, TechnoGym, Chinois Spa and the fact that they maintain their status as a smoke-free property.

I know how important a smoke-free property can be to families with children or the elderly or even regular people like you and me. Hotel Fort Canning's consideration in deciding to apply this rule is greatly appreciated. For smokers, do not despair because the hotel has designated places you can go to have a smoke or if you have a hotel room with a balcony, you can do this in the privacy of your balcony.

Swimming Pools

Enjoy a relaxing and carefree day by the Hotel’s three swimming pools – a free-form pool, a lap pool and a children’s pool – each of which are filled with natural pure water that is chlorine - and chemical-free. As an outfit dedicated to conserving the environment, the Hotel has invested in the most advanced ionisation technology by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to treat and sanitise the water in order to eliminate allergies, odours and irritation. We love an eco-friendly corporation!

People with sensitive skin can be rest assured when entering the beautiful blue waters and parents can let their children swim free with no worries.

Guests looking to work up a much-needed sweat can visit the Hotel’s state-of-the-art TechnoGym, one of the largest in a Singapore hotel. The gym comes complete with extensive equipment in a sprawling venue offering panoramic views of the park, while personal trainers are on hand to make workouts a rewarding experience. Opt for the many jogging trails found just around the Hotel within Fort Canning Park to take in the sights and sounds of Singapore’s flora and fauna.

Chinois Spa

The luxurious Chinois Spa offers comprehensive treatments and massages that soothe and pamper. Based on the belief in the power of nature, Chinois Spa uses products from Siam Botanicals, a skincare brand crafted with only the finest of natural ingredients and free from synthetic colours, fragrances, preservatives, GMO ingredients, mineral oil, petrochemicals and detergents.

This is the perfect escape to erase the stress of your everyday life and pamper yourself with some much needed tender love and care.

Hotel Fort Canning also provides 2 dining establishments where you can get some much needed sustenance.

The Salon

Country winner of the 2017 World Luxury Restaurant Awards, The Salon offers an enticing selection of Western, Asian-inspired and Singaporean favourites amidst a sophisticated ambience.

Savour hearty Singaporean flavours such as Lobster Nasi Lemak, HFC Singapore Curry Chicken and Singapore Hokkien Mee, as well as an assortment of refined fusion and international delights like Salted Egg Yolk & Crispy Shrimp Pasta, Stuffed Chicken Roulade and Norwegian Salmon Fillet.
