Traditional Chinese Pastries - Yikouwei
Established in 1983, Yi Kou Wei is known for their freshly hand-made Springroll “Popiah” and pastries in their early years. They took pride in devoting themselves to promoting Home-made Traditional Chinese pastries for more than 25 years, and over the years, built up their reputation in selling our unique kueh and pastries, earning many awards and gaining recognition as a result. Yikowei strives to promote and educate consumers on old-style Singaporean snacks and pass these on to the next generation to enjoy and love.
While there are no seatings available, the booth is clean, well-maintained and packed full with fragrant Chinese pastries that looked amazing. Although it is surrounded by other booths that sell a variety of things, it isn't difficult to spot them and didn't take long to find. Available pastries are displayed neatly and clearly for your access.
Yikowei sells many Traditional Chinese pastries such as Pumpkin Kueh, Muah Chee and many more but the highlight would have to be their bestselling Pineapple Tarts. The Pineapple Tarts are sweet, tart, buttery, fragrant and melts in your mouth. The only negative thing would be that you'd find it difficult to stop after the first one. Pineapple Tarts are sold in tubs, perfect to bring home as a souvenir or for yourself to munch on when you need a snack.
